The Technology and Computer Science program at LSUS is growing! Students have the opportunity to practice basic computer skills such as typing and using the Google Suite. But the majority of the year is spent on coding! Students learn block-based coding through puzzles on Code.org and through the use of coding robots. While working on coding, students also practice skills in communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. The program is also dedicated to teaching valuable skills and knowledge in digital safety and citizenship. The Technology and Computer Science program currently serves grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. Middle school classes integrate technology and computer science into their regular curriculum through the use of typing programs, the Google Suite, and coding robots.
