Biography:
Pastor Punke graduated from Lyon College in Batesville, AR in 1983 with a BA in Mathematics and Data Processing. From 1984-1994, he was an Assistant Professor at Lyon College, teaching a variety of Math and Computer Science courses. He received his MS in Applied Mathematics from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK in 1985. In 1990, he received an MS degree in Information and Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA.
In 1994, he enrolled at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne to begin his studies for full-time Ministry in the Church. He was the Vicar at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Grabill, IN before serving the congregation of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton, MO for 4 years as its pastor. In 2003, Pastor Punke and his wife, Marge, were called to Zion Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, IN., where he serves as Senior Pastor.
Interests:
Pastor Punke served in the Air Force for 5 years following high school. His interests include basketball, cycling, computing, and reading.
